Where does the time go???

Can't believe our little Lily girl has turned 5. We had a fun, old fashioned birthday party; complete with "pin the leaf on the tree." (No peaking was not mentioned as a rule) musical chairs, and there was a professional looking pinata. Lily was bubbling over as she met her guests. Lily received her FIRST bicycle, and the necessary helmet, knee and elbow pads. We love our family more than I can express. How fun to be together for such happy times!

Our Lily is 5!!

Countdown to Bubba!

I cannot believe that as of today, our baby boy will be coming home in 31 days!!! Kip's mission has flown by. We have enjoyed every minute of sharing this mission with him. Kip was amazing at adapting to the language of Colorado, the food and the culture.

Kip has touched the lives of more people than he can possibly know. We have made wonderful friends from Kip's mission. The people there have been so good to let us know how he was progressing as a missionary, and to share their love for him, and his cheerful personality. Our lives have been changed forever by these wonderful people. I hope I can be as thoughtful to other missionary moms.

Many things have changed at home since Kip has been away serving our Heavenly Father. He has lost two grandmothers, grandchildren have grown like crazy and there are 3 he has never seen. Lucky has aged, and I am not sure if he is going to recognize Riverton City. As long as he recognizes me and B, all is well.

We will miss having a missionary in the field . . . and cherish having our son back in our arms

Sunday Dinner with the Fam

Bryan's family brought their Halloween costumes. As you can see, we were in the presence of Royalty . . .
A very beautiful dancer who reminds me of her mother when she was little . . . (insert ) . . . this was Heather's costume (who is one. either Heather is very big, or Lily girl is tiny!)

We even had a Super Hero drop in wearing the fabulous cape (made my yours truly) and an authentic Batman mask. (the best two bucks I ever spent!)

Sunday Dinners are usually solemn, quiet events. . . . (not!) the words chaos, mayhem, and happy are the ones that come to mind. We love having everyone together, and laughing at the fun things the little ones do to entertain us!
Does life get better than this?

Eight is Great!

Can't believe our sweet Libby Lou, #1 Grandchild has turned 8! She is beautiful talented, and of course, a total swertheart.

I am proud of Libby for being the wonderful child that she is. I am also proud of Bryan and Mindi, and all they do to raise their children in righteousness. I will always be eternally grateful for Mindi. She has been an example to Bryan since they met. She always held fast to her standards, and had her priorities in proper order.
We love all of our family. Right now I just want to express my feelings to Bryan, and Mindi. Thank you for all you do. Thank you for being such faithful and loving parents. We love you so much. We love you, and your children.
Libby, you are such a wonderful girl. All of your cousins adore you, and want to be like you. Thank you for being such a good example to them. You are kind, unselfish, and always seem to Choose the Right. We love you!

An Apology to my BFF's

My counselor's are amazing, talented people who seem to have a camera velcroed to their bodies. They have the cutest, most up to date blogs on earth. Although I try hard to keep up with them, alas, I do not have their same gifts. I have been getting the "raz" about my neglected blog. Well, okay, it is now updated. I was worried about Chloe, who was in the hospital last week, so the blog was not #1, and, I left my camera in my office, so I did not get Halloween pictures. I will work harder to be more like my BFF's (if only I can be like them . . . I think I can . . .I think I can!!!)

Misc. Stuff & Things

Here is dad and I having the time of our lives at a BYU football game. I am telling you, Steven totally "Loves" BYU football. He is just working hard to curb his enthusiasm. It was an exciting game!!Woo Hoo!!!!
The other picture is our pal, Sheen. Seen was very close to Kip. This is a picture from Sheen's farewell. He is going to Manchester New Hampshire.

Mission Madness!

Dear Family, This week has been pretty good, I went to San Luis for part of the week, which is always fun, people are crazy over there, there is this guy that makes "inventions" and I got a picture in his time machine, it is a Bath tub with a giant fan on the back with a dart board on the front, and on the side of the tub it says time machine, it was the coolest thing I have ever seen, I laughed for ever after seeing that. Well not much is happening, oh a guy showed us his bunny ranch, one of the funniest things I have seen, it was this guys pride and joy all his bunnies it was amazing. Well all the investigators are good, the Football game was fun, the whole town was there, oh my, they had a pig chase for half time, they let these kids chase a pig for half time, the little kids jumped on it and you could hear the pig screaming, it was so funny. Well love you guys.Love Elder Kip Webster

Missionary Mom's Dream

Heather Brown is the kind of person Missionary Mom's pray for. She has been so good to my son, and good to me. Heather gave me updates on Kip, made sure he had a great Christmas, and has been there to help with hard things. This summer she even came to visit us with her cute boys.

I will always be grateful for the loving care Heather showed our son, and us when Grandma Webster passed away.

Heather sent me this picture of her with Kip when he was serving in her area. We love you, Heather!

Wee Witchy Weekend

I got to take Lily and Chloe overnight, so, I thought we'd go have a fun day with the witches at Gardner Village. It turns out they were having this MAJOR Event there. Our fun little Girls day out was shared with thousands of other people! Holy Cow. We had a great time, after the fear of the Witches died down a little bit! I love being Grandma! Lucky me!

Here is the real coach. Billy Baucom. He was awesome. We took 2nd (and we didn't cheat either!) We won first place in spirit, and cutie girls!
I was able to coach(?) Powder Puff Football again. WE do great when I find someone who knows what they are doing to do all the plays. I am just there for visual effect, and to show my spirit. Oh baby, check out my little pigtails. I feel so darned cute!

I am a little late with this picture, oh well . . . So, here is our new door color. I think it way trumps peeling dark green. Don't you?

Monday, September 15, 2008

Here is our latest picture of our baby boy. On close examination, that does not look like a Book of Mormon in his hands. He must be showing us his version of Captain Moroni (?) That's right, a tender glimpse of our little Stripling Warrior
This has been a busy week! We finally painted the front door,( a major goal this year) cleaned up the playroom, organized the Laundry room (again) and I made a secret surprize for Tricia. No pictures of all the new stuff yet. I will get those on here later today. (hopefully!")

We got a cute letter (and pictures) of Kip this weekend. He is now coming home on December 27th!! I am so excited to have him come home, and yet, sad that he will have to end this wonderful experience. I know he will miss all the people he has worked with, and sharing his testimony every day.

All the work we did was so doggone fun, I can hardly wait to organize something else this week!! On second thought, I will get out the Halloween decorations instead.

Our darling grandkids!!!

As you can see, it is a laugh a minute with Papa. Isn't he hysterical? Okay, he did this to make me happy. This is a hat I bought on choir tour in Seattle. I felt the need to have a little something to cover my head in all that rain. This is a little something . . .
